1. How do I activate my access to an RSM Journal/s online?
You can access RSM Journals online by following these easy steps:
For global and consortia customers – we will set up your access. Please contact us directly if you are having problems accessing the content
2. I already have access to other RSM journal/s, and I’m trying to set up access to a new title but I get the message I’ve already registered?
As all your institution's subscriptions are listed under your Customer Number, your access to this title will be available automatically within 1-2 weeks of your payment being processed. If you need access urgently, please rsmjournals{at}rsm.ac.uk with your customer number and the journal title and we will speed this up for you.
3. How do I update my account details?

4. I am no longer able to access the content?
If you are having problems with your access, please check our subscription HELP page or fill out the feedback form.
1. Do RSM Journals offer perpetual access?
Yes – RSM Journals do offer perpetual access for years a subscription was held.
2. What online content does my subscription to an RSM Journal entitle me to?
Online access currently allows access to all back content available online.
3. What digital preservation methods are in place for RSM Journals?
RSM Journals have agreements with both LOCKSS and Portico.
4. Do RSM Journals have a gracing period?
Yes – RSM Journals have a gracing period of between 8 and 12 weeks at the beginning of each subscription year.
5. Are RSM Journals Counter Compliant?
Yes – RSM Journals are now Phase 2 compliant.
6. Can I access RSM Journals via a third party?
Yes – Currently RSM journals are also available via Swetwise and Ebscohost.
7. Do I need to sign a licence to access RSM Journals?
For online access for a standard or online-only subscription, we ask that you read our full Terms and Conditions for Online Use. A PDF version is also available on this page. If your institution requires you to have a signed licence, please contact us for a copy.
For multi site and global agreements a licence needs to be signed. Copies of which can be requested.
1. What is the definition of a site?
An institution located within one metropolitan boundary under single administration which may academic or non-academic.
2. What is the definition of an authorised user?
Current members of the staff and faculty of the Licensee (whether on a permanent, temporary, contract or visiting basis) and individuals who are currently studying at the Licensee's institution, who are permitted to access the Secure Network from within the institution.
3. What is the inter-library loan policy?
Subscribing institutions may supply a single printed copy of an electronic original of an individual document from the Licensed Content to an Authorized User of another library within the same country by post, fax or Ariel, for personal use or scholarly, educational or scientific research but not for Commercial Use.
4. My institution requires we have a signed licence for online access to journals, can we sign an agreement?
Yes – we have a copy of the licence available for signing. Please rsmjournals{at}rsm.ac.uk for a copy.
5. My institution does not allow us to agree to Terms and Conditions which have another jurisdiction other than our own country/state. Can we amend this?
